Carl has been with Saklas & Co., CPAs since it opened. He joined the firm on a full time basis in January 2012 but he brings with him 25 years of experience as a CA working in both public accounting and the construction industry. Carl enjoys working with clients throughout the year to ensure they are maximizing their returns from their businesses.

Carl lives in Surrey, BC with his wife Kim and son Justin. In his free time, Carl enjoys spending time with his family, curling, coaching, travelling and boating.

Jason joined Saklas & Co., CPAs in 2015 after working at a midsize public firm in Vancouver. His experience includes audit and review engagements, corporate and personal returns, estate, and trust returns, along with a range of non-resident engagements. Jason has worked with clients from several industries including construction, real estate, professional services, automotive, manufacturing and hospitality.

Jason is passionate about helping people and thoroughly enjoys spending time working directly with clients to find solutions to their needs and concerns. Growing up in Jamaica, Jason was taught the value of developing authentic relationships, respecting others and creating a safe and friendly environment. In his spare time Jason enjoys his church fellowship and spending time with his wife and two children.

Kim is passionate about “making a difference in the business lives of our clients”, mentoring team members and thinks of herself as the “accountant with a heart”. Generous to a fault, Kim is genuinely interested in assisting clients to get where they want to go and is capable of doing so with her professional accounting designation and having lead her own successful accounting practice. She can also do this in French having attended French schools in New Brunswick! Having worked in public practice and in the banking industry as an account manager, Kim has a lot of background and experience upon which to draw. She is not afraid of a challenge as she purchased the accounting practice of “Saklas & Co., CPAs ” in 2002 when her son was only 2 years old and understands first hand the risks and rewards of owning a business. In the past year, Kim recently joined best-selling author and marketing expert, Dan Kennedy, along with a select group of the world’s leading experts to co-write the book, “Stand Apart: Stand Out Strategies from Today’s Leading Entrepreneurs and Professionals to Help You Achieve Health, Wealth, & Success.” Kim co-wrote her second book “Boom!” with Mark Victor Hansen, the founder of the “Chicken Soup for the Soul” book series. Kim lives in Surrey, BC with her husband Carl and son Justin. In her free time, Kim loves spending time with her family in Birch Bay, WA, camping, skiing and travelling to new places.
